Assalaamualaikum, Dear friends I am Aqeel. I am writing this to share some thoughts with you all.

Do you know the greatest person who ever lived in this earth???

It is our Prophet Muhammed (saw).Who conveyed to us the message of Islam and taught us the way of life.

Let us see some of the qualities of Prophet Muhammed (saw) that inspired the world!

Kindness

Anas (r.a.a) said "I served the Prophet for ten years, and he never said to me, "Uf" (a minor harsh word showing impatience) and never blamed me by saying, "Why did you do so or why didn't you do so?" Bukhari

The Prophet (saw) kissed his grandson Hasan (r.a.a), son of Ali (r.a.a) while a man called, Al-Aqra' was sitting near him. Al-Aqra said, "I have ten children and I have never kissed anyone of them," Allah's Apostle cast a look at him and said, "Whoever is not merciful to others will not be treated mercifully." Bukhari

Truthfulness

The Prophet Muhammed (saw) was known as Al-Sadiq (the Truthful) and Al-Amin (the Faithful). Every Makkan, rich or poor called him by these names. Even the enemies of Prophet Muhammed(saw) used to tell that he is trustworthy because he never lied even to his enemies.
When the Believers saw the joined forces they said: "This is what Allah and His Apostle had promised us and Allah and his Apostle told us what was true." And it only added to their faith and their zeal in obedience.
(Ahzab, 33:22)

Bravery

"The Messenger of God (saw) was the best of people and the most courageous. One night, the people of Madeenah were frightened and headed towards the sounds they heard during the night. The Messenger of God (saw) met them while coming back from the place of the sound, after he made sure that there was no trouble. He was riding a horse that belonged to Abu Talhah without any saddle, and he had his sword with him. He was assuring the people, saying: ‘Do not be frightened! Do not be frightened!"
(Bukhari No.2751)

Humbleness

One day Prophet Muhammad (saw) was going somewhere at noon and it was too hot in the desert when He saw an old woman carrying her luggage on her head. Prophet Muhammad (saw) helped her and took the luggage from the woman and carried it for her.
Prophet Muhammad (saw) asked the woman that where she was going and why? She said that I am leaving this town as I have heard that a magician named Muhammad (saw) is in town and she went on to say that Muhammed had corrupted the place.

As the Prophet Muhammad (saw) was very patient and kind, He (saw) didn't say a word and kept listening. The old lady kept complaining about Muhammed (saw), not knowing that it was Muhammed who was walking beside her was.

While walking with the Prophet (peace be upon Him), that old woman noticed that this young man have a brightness on his smiling and humble face.

When they reached the destination, Muhammad (saw), put down the bag and was about to leave when the old woman said,"O, kind person! At least tell me your name!". Prophet Muhammad (saw) replied,” I am Muhammed." The old lady was amazed and realized that such a kind, helping and true person can never be what she thought him to be and therefore his kindness and humbleness convinced her and she accepted Islam.

 His sense of humor

But please note the Prophet Muhammed (saw) told us its okay to joke but we should never lie when we are telling a joke.
Once Prophet Muhammad (saw), Ali (ral) and few other companions were eating dates from a big plate. Prophet Muhammad (saw) by way of jest put the seeds in front of Ali (ral). When all finished eating, there were no seeds in front of Prophet Muhammad (saw), but a heap in front of Ali (ral).
Prophet Muhammad (saw) pretended to be surprise and asked, "O Ali, you ate so many dates?"
Ali (ral) humbly replied, "O messenger of Allah! Today i realized that you eat dates with the seeds."

Generous

Anas bin Malik said:
‘The Messenger of God (saw) was never asked for something when a person accepted Islam, except that he granted that person whatever he asked. A man came to the Prophet (saw) and he gave him a herd of sheep that was grazing between two mountains. The man returned to his people and said: ‘O my people accept Islam! Muhammad (saw) gives out generously like one who does not fear poverty.’ (Muslim No.2312)

Patience

"Once, I was walking with the Messenger of God (saw) while he was wearing a Yemeni cloak with a collar with rough edges. A Bedouin grabbed him strongly. I looked at the side of his neck and saw that the edge of the cloak left a mark on his neck. The Bedouin said, ‘O Muhammad! Give me some of the wealth of God that you have.’ The Messenger of God (saw) turned to the Bedouin, laughed and ordered that he be given [some money]." (Bukhari No.2980)

It’s important to learn about our Prophet Muhammed (saw). But it’s also more important to practice what he had taught us. By reading this book you and I will make our Prophet (saw) our role model INSHAALLAH!

My dear friends,  Allah (swt) is giving us so many blessings! We have a beautiful and peaceful country, we have loving parents, we have good food and water, we have clean clothes, we have good education, and so many more blessings.
How can we thank Allah (swt) for these blessings?

As young Muslims you and I have a mission in our lives. We can fulfill this mission by following the footsteps of our Prophet (saw).
We need to always strive to adopt his qualities like honesty, trustworthiness, kindness, compassionate, bravery and much more, by practicing the sunnahs in our lives every day.
